We have spent the last few days trotting around Dublin, the coast of Northern Ireland, and London! Spring is definitely in bloom over here.😊 Off to Paris for the day tomorrow and then Scotland till the weekend! What are some places you like to/would like to visit to break away from your day-to-day routine?

Is "messy hair, don't care" still a thing? Five hours of teaching #aquafit and 3 liters of water later ... Bu-bye, Wednesday! Is it bedtime yet? 😴 What were you up to this windy Wednesday? AND how much water have you drank?💧

It has officially been 1 year since we moved in and began our home renovations! What?! Hours upon hours of help from friends and family, late night calls for a basement flood, contractor calls about our ceiling cracking... There were tears, there were fights, there were celebrations, there were days when we asked ourselves "What have we gotten into?!" but that was usually followed by "the end result is going to be so worth it, keep going!". And that is true about so much of life. It's hard, it challenges us, it throws curveballs, we overcome, some days we break down, but we keep going with the help of those around us until we get to those "this is why we do it!" moments. Wherever you find yourself today, remember that ups and downs is what life is all about; if we flat line we stop living. Stop and celebrate the small things, don't sweat the curveballs, and keep marching forward with appreciation. 🌞

Jim Rohn once said "you are the average of the 5 people you spend most of your time with". I could not agree more. I have had seasons in life where that meant I kept chasing material things and the social mould presented to me, and seasons where it has meant learning vulnerability and being motivated to pursue the good and meaningful things in life. I absolutely LOVE our town and all of its farm views! 🚜This morning the trees in our area were covered in icicles that glistened as the sun was rising. ❄😍 I couldn't help but pull over to admire a few times.

How do you like them flowers? Throwback to Valentine's Day 2016. How time just passes! For whatever odd reason this week has been filled with "reality life slaps" (you know, when life and reality smack you in the face?) reminding me how fast time passes. What do I want to do with my life? What do I want to be known for? HOW IS TIME PASSING SO QUICKLY?! 🤔😮 What questions has this week been asking you?

Wine. Ring. Where's the chocolates at?! I'm not quite sure where 2019 is running off to that Valentine's Day is suddenly just around the corner. It's shocking! This year I am trying to be less grouchy about the commerical holiday, and so there are two posts up on the blog for you guys to get some Valentine's Day ideas. The best part? Our main post was written by Miss @ashventures8 herself! Talking all about being single on Valentine's Day and the many ways one can partake in the festivities without the need of a significant other. I heard a quote recently that stated "Fear has killed more dreams than #failure ever will", and I could not agree more. The fear of failure is often the drive of my perfectionism AND my #procrastination. Weird isn't it? To push oneself so hard but also to not push at all? It is like a paralysis limbo 'Do I, do I not, do I, do I not". This year I decided to step off the limbo train in some areas of my life (baby steps, people!) and just go for certain things. Just go for it in my fitness, just go for it in my business expansion, just go for it with my blog and #Youtube. Yeah, you read that right. I got off the limbo train and joined the youtube train - and it's moving! It is scary to put yourself out there, to put your thoughts out in the open for anyone to criticize. But what is the worst that can happen? Maybe I'll fail, maybe no one will watch or listen. Big whoop! At least I stepped out of my comfort zone and pushed for something I believe in. At least I will have learned and maybe even impacted 1 person. At least I looked fear in the eyes and said "come at me, bro! My God is bigger!" and made it lose its hold on me. If I fail, I will rise again. That is what we must remember. Whatever goal or dream you are currently chasing, be prepared to fail at some point. No one makes it up the ladder without a few scrapes and bruises. Maybe your success will come faster, maybe you will fail multiple times. Those hurdles don't matter as much as what YOU choose to do to overcome them. Remember: you have the ability to rise every time. Be a #Phoenix.

Today's blog post is all about faith & reflection (get it? the mountains are reflecting on water in the picture?! 😎) . . "Why am I a #Christian? What does #God mean to me?" These are loaded questions but ones I find crutial for every believer to have an answer to. Why is that important? My opinion is that this is what anchors you steady when life is trying to blow you in 10 differential directions. Ever look back at pictures and remain amazed at how you young you looked? This is us 2.5 years ago! I think we look like babies! I'm not one to miss hot weather... But after our Mexico trip I have been left itching for more drinks and chats by the ocean 🌴 *Sigh* There is a time and season for everything, and it is not the time for another vacation (just yet). Happy Thursday!

Getting this guy ready to be painted by @hiddengemsbyphilomena this week! . . I pestered Anth all year about getting a piano for me in the house and now that we are finally doing it I'm second guessing it all! (Don't worry Philomena, we are still doing it). Any other second guessers out there? I hate the feeling and the questions that flood - "Was it a good decision? Should we be putting money towards this 'non-necessity' right now? Should we have put money on the mortgage instead? Will its bulkiness look bad in the room? Should we have gotten a new one or the #babygrand instead? What if it breaks when we move it and it's money wasted, it's so old!" . . Truth is, sometimes you have to put "the responsible answer" aside and do something that will bring you ongoing joy. Call it the emotionally responsible answer! Anyways, we are super excited to see the end result and get this beast home. I've missed writing with these keys. 🎹

A short while ago I called my mom to ask her about a Spanish word I had heard and ended up bawling on the phone about how I felt like a victim in a reoccuring situation. . . I was expecting her to appease my frustrations and feel my pain, instead she sounded relaxed when telling me I was wrong in my actions. Umm, WHAT?! My mind kept stating "I am the victim, I am not retaliating, I am NOT acting incorrectly!" Then she reminded me that I was not just facing the situation in the flesh, and though physically I was taking a higher road, spiritually I was wrong in my choice of actions. It was wrong of me to hold anger and wish someone ill, it was wrong of me to not actively pray into the situation, I was wrong in choosing a victim mentality instead of spirituality fighting my battle, even if I technically fit the victim definition. I honestly tried to help her understand why I was still right, but truth is, my spirit new SHE was right. I couldn't see it for myself while being wrapped up in my bitterness, so Jesus had me make a silly call to be able to open my eyes to the bigger picture. Thank you, Jesus (and mom!).🙆 . . If you are currently feeling like you are battling a situation or person in the flesh, can I challenge you to check in and see what you are doing in the #spiritual realm? Are you choosing to live defeated or are you taking your rightful position as a #victorious child of our powerful God? Are you sitting in bitterness and anger, rehearsing conversations that will never actually happen, or are you on your knees in prayer? . . Goodness knows all this can at times be overwhelming, and the more we are told to pray and be humble the more we want to fight (or is just me?). How about we start with one step: our mindset. What can you change about your mindset in the situation you face? Pray into that one thing. Let the power of #prayer change your heart and I pray it changes your troubles too. ♥
